Hey, Grant did the same thing when we put him in a big boy bed. He would not get up until we went and got him. Must be carried over from the crib. He would just play or call for me until I got him. Then when I potty trained him, I crammed it in his brain, "When you wake up, you run to the potty first thing." I jammed it in his head so much, he used to tell it to me last thing before he went to bed at night, "Mommy, when I wake up, I'll run to potty and go pee pee. That's also when we had to start leaving a hall light or bathroom light on all night.
